KEMSA has announced multiple vacancies to strengthen its operations and improve healthcare supply delivery in Kenya.
The positions include director and assistant director roles, with applications due by April 22, 2026.
The authority says the recruitment aims to enhance efficiency, stressing it does not charge fees and warning that “canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.”
In a public notice on Tuesday, the state corporation said it is seeking to recruit qualified candidates to fill several senior and mid-level positions, citing organisational growth and the need to enhance efficiency.
“As a result of business growth and the need to enhance organisational efficiency for effective service delivery, we would like to fill the positions below,” the notice states.
KEMSA, which is mandated to procure, warehouse and distribute drugs and medical supplies, plays a critical role in supporting public health programmes and national referral hospitals.
The authority said it is looking to fill key roles including Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Deputy Director of Records Management, Assistant Director of Finance, and Assistant Director of Accounts.
The Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs position will be offered on a contract basis, while the other roles are listed as permanent and pensionable.
According to the notice, KEMSA is “a State Corporation established through an Act of Parliament, with the mandate to procure, warehouse and distribute drugs and medical supplies for prescribed public health programs, the national strategic stock reserve, prescribed essential health packages and national referral hospitals.”
Applicants have been directed to access full job descriptions and application instructions through the authority’s official website.

The recruitment process will require successful candidates to meet integrity standards outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
These include providing “a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI),” as well as clearance certificates from the Kenya Revenue Authority, Higher Education Loans Board, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, and an approved Credit Reference Bureau.
KEMSA has emphasised that applicants must submit their applications online, accompanied by detailed curriculum vitae and copies of relevant academic and professional certificates.
“Applications should be submitted through the online portal not later than April 22, 2026, 5.00 P.M. EAT,” the notice states.
The authority also highlighted its commitment to fairness and inclusivity in recruitment.

KEMSA issued a warning against attempts to influence the recruitment process, noting that such actions would lead to disqualification.
“Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification,” the notice stated.
The authority further cautioned applicants against fraudulent recruitment schemes, reiterating that it does not charge any fees at any stage of the hiring process.
“KEMSA does not charge any fee at any stage of the recruitment process,” it said.
The announcement comes at a time when Kenya continues to prioritise strengthening healthcare systems and improving access to essential medical supplies.
By recruiting additional personnel, KEMSA aims to enhance its capacity to deliver on its mandate and support national health programmes more effectively.
The authority operates from its National Supply Chain Centre in Embakasi, Nairobi, and remains a central player in ensuring the availability and distribution of medicines across the country.
With the application deadline set for April 22, interested candidates have just under a month to submit their applications as the agency seeks to bolster its workforce.
